Transforming Nature

The first photo is a picture of bright red flowers in a vase. The bright red is very powerful so the picture is toned down by making it black, white, and gray. I adjusted the gray scale to create a mixture of grays.

The second photo is a picture of a magnolia leaf that shows a fun waxy and smooth texture. The contrast is very vivid from the darkness in the back to the light shining off of the leaf. The photo almost appears with a blue tint.

The third photo is a picture of an elephant leaf which appeared very translucent as the sun shined through it. The light greens and dark colored veins make a great edited photo for different colors. I love the red tint the picture creates giving it a whole new look. It reminds me of Autumn.
